Do You Consider Yourself to Be a Courteous Person?
Most of us are. We open doors for the elderly, allow people with fewer items to go ahead of us at the store, and try to avoid interrupting others in conversation. As believers, we know that our treatment of those around us is central to shining God’s light to the lost.
Yet, there are also times when we can be so courteous we actually hinder what God is trying to do in us. It is possible that our courtesy to others might in fact be a cover for shrinking back because of fear.
Is God bringing new opportunities to you that you are allowing to pass on to others because of your own timidity? If you have ever found yourself drawing back from a new challenge for fear of leaving your comfort zone, this message is for you.
